Nearly 10 years ago, I sketched up this idea for earrings. I was inspired by my mother, who came to America and gave me the middle name, Shaheen, which means, “royal white falcon.” To her, it was like a bald eagle, representing her new life in America. Just this past month, I had them fabricated so the “wings” would swing side to side. Cheers to my mother!
I’ve been recieving compliments on my new ski coat lately due to a patch a placed over an unfortunate hole. I had worn the coat maybe twice when a firey ash singed a hole in it. It was unsightly and I felt the new coat with the burn made me look homeless. A good freind recommended I buy a patch from some elite outdoor outfitter. I searched online for the adhesive patches and I didn’t fine much that suited me, so I desided to design my own with my company logo. Shameless self advertising – I know – but it looks great and it looks like it was meant to be! This is when I say it’s great to be able to design custom wears for yourself but I can design patches of all kinds – just hit me up!
My good friend Chris Campbell recently bought a farm in Ohio. He named it Crooked Mouth Farm, after the meaning of his last name. Another friend of his carved the name of the farm into a larch stick. Chris sent me an image of the stick and I traced the “Crooked Mouth” carved letters. I orginally designed this logo with bright green but he wanted something more earthy and rustic – so voila – the image you see here is the result of our collaboration. This interesting and unique farm is slated to be very alternative, offering classes on farming and housing different kinds of produce and animals. I’ll have to keep an eye out and learn more as he builds the farm.
